Hoodwinked

Hoodwink: to dupe; trick

When I really started looking into the chemicals I was using in my house, I soon realized that I had been hoodwinked by advertising and the media. How could that be?

Take disposable cleaning wipes for example. The advertisers lead you to believe that wiping a surface with one wipe will disinfect it. Isn't that how we all do it?
We want to rid germs from a surface so we grab a wipe, swipe and
"abracadabra".....................................the germs are gone.

But are they?

Do we (or can we) even read the very small print that flashes across our television or on the carton that is followed by an *asterick? Here's what I found on the back of my disposable disinfecting wipes.

For Cleaning: Use one wipe to completely remove surface of all loose debris from surfaces to be treated.
OK..........couldn't we do that with a Norwex cloth or even a paper towel?  But we think we are disinfecting, right? Here's what my container says about that.

Disinfecting: To disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces, thoroughly wet the surface to be treated . Treated surface must remain visibly wet for disinfecting. Use ENOUGH wipes for treated surface to remain visibly wet for 5 MINUTES.  (emphasis added)

Who is doing that? I'd venture to guess <5% of consumers. I know I didn't.

So, we have a choice to make.
  1. Continue using the product incorrectly.
  2. Change the way the product is used which will increase time spent cleaning, increase costs AND have a bigger impact on indoor/outdoor environment because of increased chemical usage and waste.

I believe our only real option is to

     3. Find a BETTER way that will save Time and Money, Improve Health and also help us to be better stewards of this wonderful planet for this generation and the next.

Norwex is the answer!
